Motivation (Three Most Common Motivations)

Motivation is the driving force behind any goal-oriented activity. It is the desire that compels a person to action. People are motivated by different things. It is important to understand what motivates a person in order to know how to best motivate them. What motivates you???? . . . The term was first used in the early nineteenth century, and it has been a topic of discussion ever since. Motivation can be divided into two categories: intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation is internal, meaning that one does something because they enjoy it or find it interesting. Extrinsic motivation is external, meaning that one does something for some other reason outside of themselves like money or approval from others. Intrinsic and extrinsic motivations are often seen as opposites, but they can coexist in a single person or situation. For example, someone may do their job because they are paid well for it but also find enjoyment in their work on the side. — Motivation is somethin...

Mountains ( Aditi Das Bhowmik )

Born in a city small, Surrounded by mountains tall. With snowy peaks they stand, They look magnificently grand, They stand still, without a move, Fearless attitude is what they prove. Whenever I am filled with stress, I sit to watch the mountain stretch. Whatever be in life go wrong, Will come back, if we are strong. Whether its rain, wind or sun, With strong will, every battle would be won. By ( Aditi Das Bhowmik )

Without You ( Emmenay )

Seasons change, Night-scent of flowers, Rekindles my world of dreams. Songs of love, Echo in forgotten place, A swish, a sash, dance. Waltz with you, Wishing it would never end, What more did I want? Living on, To work, work and work, Not the other way around. When you went, You wished me just happiness, But how? Without You? By ( Emmenay )

A Unique Meeting ( Gabriela Lupu )

Between me and you is a huge ocean, and as though that is not enough  with this winter, now,  it has frozen so hard!  Who knows when it will melt  and we can finally  see each other! Honey,  what about if we both put on  ice skates and meet  at mid-ocean? Once we get tired of waltzing on ice, we can start off together, slowly-hand in hand, chattering about all, leaving winter behind  and greeting the spring. By ( Gabriela Lupu )

Sometimes I feel loneliness ( Raimund J. Holtich )

I’m Staying Alive In The Tragedy And In Mystery With or without a wife. Dreams are my reality. A writer, a painter, a musician, a sculptor am I. Sometimes I feel love, sometimes I feel pain. I’m dreaming. I’m feeling. I fly. I’m loving my fantastic brain. Sometimes I lost my fear. Sometimes I feel emptiness. Sometimes I miss your near. Sometimes I feel loneliness. By ( Raimund J. Holtich )

On The New World Order ( Emmenay )

All the world's 'great' forces  Are up against Man, To destroy innocent people,  In all the ways they can. The big ones create 'heroes'; And let them on the loose, When the 'heroes' defy the big ones, They join to tighten the noose. The rule of might prevails, The meek are forced to obey, Those who dare to differ, Are removed out of the way. Might is the New World Order, As always the monarchs are out, To create chaos, disorder, And stifle the cries that shout. The cries that demand justice, The sighs that seek their rights, Are heard by few, like me, And one day! We shall conquer...! By ( Emmenay )

Still Love You ( Ilona Hesse )

It's hard for me to be happy, When I see you smile, It's difficult to laugh When I see those sparkles in your eyes. It hurts so deep inside, That I have trouble to describe, What I feel for you, But you should know, That I love you. To see your heart jump for joy, Makes my soul weak; You are a part of me, And yet I know that you're not. It hurts so deep inside, That I have trouble to describe, What I feel for you, But, before I go, You should know, I will always love you. By ( Ilona Hesse )

PUNCH SONG ( Friedrich Schiller )

Four elements, joined in Harmonious strife, Shadow the world forth, And typify life. Into the goblet The lemon's juice pour; Acid is ever Life's innermost core. Now, with the sugar's All-softening juice, The strength of the acid So burning reduce. The bright sparkling water Now pour in the bowl; Water all-gently Encircles the whole. Let drops of the spirit To join them now flow; Life to the living Naught else can bestow. Drain it off quickly Before it exhales; Save when 'tis glowing, The draught naught avails. By ( Friedrich Schiller )

ALL MEN ARE EQUAL? ( Emmenay )

Classes of people: Classes in airplanes; Classes in cinema halls; And classes in trains. Yet the slogan is: All men are equal. A small Afghan girl, Sells burgers, earns rupees, She is a refugee, Whom should she trust? People are enjoying, Vacation and holidays, Giving money and spending, on breezy hill stations. All men are equal! Sounds good to the ear, And pleasing to the eyes, But, are all equal? The Afghan girl replied: "My burgers, they are swell.” By ( Emmenay )

Sales Creed ( JOE PARENTE )

Take the highway  Drive all night  Client there, price it fair. Move on down to next town. When in sight, price it right. Follow through, until you do, You’re not through. Repeat this action, give satisfaction. Someday you’ll lunch, With the same bunch. They’ll buy you pie. If you never lie. By ( JOE PARENTE )

You Took My Heart ( Ilona Hesse )

You took my heart And locked it in a cage, You got rid if the key; Simply turned the book's page. I haven't seen my heart, But I still feel its beat, And the thought of loving you, Makes my poor soul weak. Looking at your picture; Framed by my hands. Not sure what to do, Not sure of my plans. Am thinking of you, And my heart you took. Please take care of it, Give it a second look. It's very breakable, So keep it by your side, Because I might need it again At some point of my life. By ( Ilona Hesse )

Standing Up ( Lisa Hecmanczuk )

You try to keep me down; But I stand up, You try to ignore me; But I achieve You pretend I’m not here; But I breathe You look at me with disgust; Yet I smile You invade my space; Now I claim it, You startle me with your anger; Now I accept it, Your anger you must now own; I walk away My fear no longer rules me; God does I will no longer be shut away; I am myself, I will let myself shine; And God will lead me. By ( Lisa Hecmanczuk )

Christmas Wonders ( Brian Wrixon )

Christmas dawns in a faraway land We wonder what you will eat today In our land of plenty we can forget What hunger is like for you Christmas dawns in a faraway land We wonder if you will be well today In our land of health we can forget What sickness is like for you Christmas dawns in a faraway land We wonder what you will learn today In our land of knowledge we can forget What school is like for you Christmas dawns in a faraway land We wonder what you will face today In our land of ease we can forget What life is like for you By ( Brian Wrixon )

In The Midst Of Your Hour ( M.J. Garrett )

I can see your vulnerability I understand your frame of mind I can feel every tear And I understand why you hide You are so frail You are so misunderstood You try to hide from truth And you embraced the pain you could In the midst of your hour You can save my soul You can heal my shattered spirit You have the power to make me whole With one touch of your hand With one breath on your lips With one word from your heart You could end this…. Marred together and bound We share so many scars We traveled the same path Although worlds apart We have the past to get over We have the future to embrace We have each others pain And we have forever to replace By   ( M.J. Garrett )

The Winter Year ( Smita Dey Tarafder )

The time wheel rushes into the bad, sad and tearful year, When daylight ceases early into long nights of ageless fear. And pride bows low before preparing to be burnt alive, Mingling with phenomenal shadows into fire it does revive. O living souls do not term me evil for I am the bad, I turn into a poem, post the earthly curse that I had, With your inhalation of the starry nights in Spring And feeling Summer aura of oceans, which pearls do bring. Devoid of the brush, canvas and paint, I am to portray, My unconditional love with a single Rain-touched Sunray. Amidst the flame of desire suppressed by Autumn’s dancing dust, From the cage of words freeing forever Love of the Fall, must. Here I promise to turn into the blooming flower, Before the earth takes the next seasonal shower And love shall be in my everlasting fragrance, Before on my tombstone, snowflakes fall into a trance. By ( Smita Dey Tarafder )

Autumn ( Koyel Mitra )

Soft sun rays trickle down purple skies, Comes autumn in a new guise. Colorful leaves fall, Large and small. Bright As Nature spreads her yellow carpet, Coats with shades from her palette. Colorful leaves fall, Large and small. Sight She declares the advent of winter, Chilly days and nights after. Colorful leaves fall, Large and small. Plight By ( Koyel Mitra )

God Provides ( Lisa Hecmanczuk )

When I've lost my way and think God isn't listening, God provides, When I let go of trying to control, God provides, When I give up my plans and schemes, God provides, When I ask for help despite my fears, God provides, When I see no way out, God provides, When I surrender and listen, God provides, When I keep doing the next right thing, God provides. By ( Lisa Hecmanczuk )

A SONG IN PRAISE ( Ambrose Bierce )

Hail, blessed Blunder! golden idol, hail! Clay-footed deity of all who fail. Celestial image, let thy glory shine, Thy feet concealing, but a lamp to mine. Let me, at seasons opportune and fit, By turns adore thee and by turns commit. In thy high service let me ever be (Yet never serve thee as my critics me) Happy and fallible, content to feel I blunder chiefly when to thee I kneel. But best felicity is his thy praise Who utters unaware in works and ways Who labor-are est or-are proves, And feels thy suasion whensoever he moves, Serving thy purpose, not thine altar, still, And working, for he thinks it his, thy will. If such a life with blessings be not fraught, I envy Peter Robertson for naught. By ( Ambrose Bierce )

When I Consider Every Thing That Grows ( William Shakespeare )

When I consider every thing that grows Holds in perfection but a little moment, That this huge stage presented nought but shows Whereon the stars in secret influence comment; When I perceive that men as plants increase, Cheered and cheque’d even by the self-same sky, Vaunt in their youthful sap, at height decrease, And wear their brave state out of memory; Then the conceit of this inconstant stay Sets you most rich in youth before my sight, Where wasteful Time debate-th with Decay, To change your day of youth to sullied night;      And all in war with Time for love of you,      As he takes from you, I en-graft you new. By ( William Shakespeare )

A Planet Without Punishment ( Christina Sunrise )

To be punished we need to feel ashamed we are in a losing battle of Victim against Judge every day. Now what if the Planetary Dream was changed? What if we never had to be punished and made to feel ashamed? Guilt and shame are not normal feelings we have these two things are forced on us to make us feel bad. Now over in India they have a philosophy it helps teach children to freely express to feel joyful, sad and happiness. They are never heard the word 'NO' they are treated like Kings and Queens and nurtured as they grow. Now what if we lived in a world with High Self Esteem? It was the norm and nothing in between or very extreme? We would then have a new Planetary Dream where there is no punishment, no prisons, cops and people dying from a killing machine.
